Tijuana drug war hitting hard

I just got word that one of CityBeat’s deliverymen was shot and killed in Tijuana this week. According to friends and family, Jesus “Joaquin” Isordia, 24, was outside his apartment Monday, Dec. 29, washing his truck when a car drove by and opened fire. Isordia was hit several times and died on the scene in front of his home.
Friends say Isordia lived next to known drug dealers and they suspect rival dealers are responsible for the shooting, although I can’t find any reports to substantiate this just yet (apparently, his death isn’t dramatic enough for the daily papers to cover).
It’s a sad, sad state of affairs in the city at this point. According to friends and family, Isordia was a guitarist in Tijuana metal bands including Nuestra Sangre and The Sacrifice Theory, not a drug dealer. They say he shouldn’t be among the city’s dead.
Beau’s Distribution, Isordia’s employer, will be holding a benefit show to raise funds for Isordia’s family. Check back for details.

It’s fucked up how them narcos don’t care about making sure they’re actually killing the right people.
Sooner or later armed civilians will get involved and then the war will really be on.

Jesus spent a lot of time in my home in chula vista as did many of the kids growing up with My daughter Shawnasea my house was always open to the kids.
They all have a special Place in my heart Jesus was a great guy.
He will be missed so sorry to all he left behind.
