Border Pride 2008

Daniel Watman, a border activist and community organizer I wrote about for CityBeat awhile back, is hosting a Border Pride celebration in Friendship Park in San Ysidro on the U.S. side of the border and in Playas de Tijuana on the Mexican side this Saturday, Oct. 18.

Saturday Oct 18th, 2008 from 11am-5pm inside of Friendship Circle on both sides of the border

Free Buffet from La Taberna Arcoiris in Tijuana 12-4pm

Bi-national open Discussion on Sexuality 11a and 2p (2 one hour sessions)
Open Mic 12:30 – 2pm
Live Music Featuring Yoeng (has opened for Ricard Montaner, Yuridia, and others)! 3:30pm
Information and advice on STDs all Day!
Everyone is Welcome!

Free to the Public!

Important noteif you come on the US side, please bring a valid ID.  Even though you don’t have to cross the border to get there or leave, Border Patrol might ask you for it
